Technology Innovation & Commercialization Center

The North San Diego County SBDC Technology Innovation & Commercialization Center (TICC) provides pro bono consulting to high-growth potential, highly-scalable start-up initiatives and established companies. There is no charge whatsoever for consulting support nor do advisors take any form of equity stake ownership in client companies. These companies can be in many stages: Concept, Only-Prototype Developed, Early Stage Revenue, Full Revenue, Some Degree of Profitability, or Dynamic Profitable Growth. Our distinguishing characteristic is that we will stay with you from concept founding through your planned exit.

Of the approximately 975 SBDC’s in the United States, TICC is distinguished among several dozen dispersed throughout by its concentration on technology commercialization, capital funding, and management support through to a desired exit strategy. Its senior advisors consist of Angel Investors, former C-Level Executives, University Professors or and/or Investment Bankers with backgrounds in both Fortune 500 C- or SVP-level executive roles plus founding, building, and managing start-ups through their liquidity events (exits). They understand the focus, desires, and challenges of being an entrepreneur because they have been there.

TICC provides many services in supporting and working with Entrepreneurs to help them “get to the next level.” These include (but are not limited to):
