The Central San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce (CSDBCC) and the San Diego and Imperial SBDC Network are partnering to provide innovative programs, networking opportunities, and business partnerships to advance and strengthen Inclusive Economic Development throughout the City and County of San Diego. This partnership is a key resource to support LMI minority business owners as they seek to establish and scale their businesses.
The CSDBCC has created the Black Business Relief Grant Fund with the goal of representing the interests of Black businesses in San Diego County, ensuring that our businesses are equipped with the resources and technical assistance necessary to equitably begin to recover, reopen and rebuild. The SBDC is proud to partner with the CSDBCC to help assist the black owned businesses that have been impacted so heavily by the Covid-19 public health crisis. Grant recipients will work with their SBDC Business Advisors to first develop of scope of work meet the goals of adapting their business model to the new reality of the pandemic.
The SBDC has created unique webinars to help businesses adapt to the new environment. These webinars are both industry specific, such as retail or restaurants. This partnership between the CSDBCC and the San Diego and Imperial SBDC Network is here to help the grant recipients and all San Diego black-owned businesses get through this economic and public health crisis.

It was founded in 2010, to encourage and create an environment with the goal of supporting the goal of “generational wealth through business enterprise, education, employment, and investing”. In efforts to support black owned businesses and appreciate the African American heritage, this organization enables African Americans to create businesses and pursue careers that further promote successful futures.
The San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network, which is hosted by Southwestern Community College, is funded by the US Small Business Administration (SBA) and the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (Go-Biz.) The San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network includes 8 service partners in San Diego County and 1 in Imperial County. The San Diego County locations include: North San Diego SBDC (MiraCosta College), East County San Diego SBDC (East County EDC), South San Diego SBDC (Southwestern College), the Brink (University of San Diego), Export Trade SBDC (San Diego Regional EDC/World Trade Center), Connect SBDC, Asian Business Association SBDC, and International Rescue Committee SBDC. With a team of over 100 staff and advisors, the SBDC is here to support the vitality of the small business ecosytem in our region. SBDC can provide services in English, Spanish, Arabic, Farsi, Swahili, Dari, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and others.
