Innovate78: Jumpstart Small Business/Start Your Business In A Day
Do you have a great idea for a business? Have you been looking to create your own small business? The SBDC is here to help, with its expert advisors. Our Start Your Business in a Day program is part of the Innovate78 Jumpstart Small Business. The program is a two-part training you can take live or watch recorded to get the information you need to develop your business concept into a plan, know the legal steps, and even what you need to think about for financing.
The City of Escondido along with the other four Innovate78 Corridor cities (San Marcos, Vista, Carlsbad, and Oceanside) and the San Diego North Economic Development Council have partnered with the San Diego & Imperial Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network, including its North San Diego SBDC in Carlsbad, to provide the Jumpstart Small Business/Start Your Business in a Day program. This program assists aspiring entrepreneurs in preparing what they need to start their own business, and it supports existing business owners to expand their business.
Industry-Specific Guidance for Adapting Your Business
The San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network, which is hosted by Southwestern Community College, is funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and the California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (Go-Biz). The San Diego & Imperial SBDC Network includes eight service partners in San Diego County and one in Imperial County. The San Diego County locations include: South San Diego SBDC (Southwestern College), North San Diego SBDC (MiraCosta College), East County San Diego SBDC (East County Economic Development Council), The Brink (University of San Diego), Connect SBDC, Alliance (Asian Business Association) SBDC, International Rescue Committee SBDC, and Export SBDC (World Trade Center San Diego/San Diego Regional Economic Development Council). With a team of over 100 staff and advisors, the SBDC is here to support the vitality of the small business ecosystem in our region. SBDC can also provide services in numerous languages.
