Marquise is a tireless advocate and ally to the small business communities of San Diego and Imperial counties, as evidenced by his dedication to promoting greatly increased access to capital for the local small businesses community.
He has led and managed the implementation of numerous federal and state initiatives including the Jobs Act with the Small Business Administration, and the California Governor’s Office Capital Infusion Program.
With a deep background in technology commercialization, Marquise has held several positions in that arena subsequent to joining the SBDC including advising and training tech entrepreneurs and startups, in addition to working with senior scientists at the Army Research Lab to facilitate taking technology products to market.
Marquise has a Master of Business Administration from California State University, San Bernardino in addition to a B.S. in Physics from Benedict College.

For over 20 years, Daniel has been a prominent fixture in the small business communities of San Diego County and Imperial County, and on both sides of the US-Mexico border.
His service in a wide variety of leadership and executive roles has made a significant impact on hundreds of businesses and dozens of industries throughout the State of California.
Among the organizations are the Calexico=Imperial County and Imperial Valley Enterprise Zones, the CaliBaja Bi-National Mega-Region, various Chambers of Commerce in Imperial County, the Imperial Valley Economic Development Council, and the Imperial Valley-Mexicali Bi-National Alliance.
Daniel has a Masters in Communication from San Diego State University, and a B.A. in History from the University of Utah.
